My qualifications include:
I undertake regular CPD and am also a volunteer therapist for an organisation in England which provides therapy for people who have experienced childhood trauma and for non offending partners of abuse perpetrators.
I support people not just to develop coping strategies but also to get to the root of their difficulties and understand themselves better in order to move forward with a more balanced and positive sense of self, purpose and personal boundaries.
A holistic approach
Mental health is just as important as our physical health, and both are interlinked and influence each other.
When we are depressed, hypervigilant, experience obsessions and compulsions or anxiety, trauma and PTSD we often develop physical symptoms, which in turn further affect our psychological wellbeing. My practice is underpinned by a holistic apprioach that addresses physical symptoms to help create a sense of ease, comfort and balance within the body. Indeed when we can be at peace with our body, this can lead to improvement in our emotional and mental health.
Reconnecting with your life and future
Often when difficult experiences affect our health and wellbeing we can lose our sense of agency, identity, self-worth, strengths, boundaries and purpose - therapy can help foster reconnection with these parts of self.
